The Role

We’re looking for a talented Category Manager to join our Category & Buying Team, one of the key pillars of Recharge’s future growth, and report to our Category Lead, Tim Beurskens.

The role of Category Manager is a cross-over between the FMCG approach to category management, pricing and partnership management. It will involve creating a relevant assortment, improving performance with the Marketing team, and liaising with brand partners about growing their categories.

What will I do?

As a Category Manager, you will create a category vision for Gift cards with the focus on shopping, travel, food and retail. You are going to identify key opportunities and challenges for the category and translate this into strategic growth of the business, and competition tracking & pricing strategy.

You will also improve performance together with Marketing teams and work on partner Management & contract negotiations. You will be responsible for the rapid launch & expansion of products to new regions, and build new global categories.

Your new team will consist of hungry young professionals that are ready to make an impact on the business including your Director of Category & Buying, Category Lead, 2 Category Managers, 1 Launch Manager, and 2 Delivery Specialists.

What you have

  • At least 4 years working experience and a proven track record in FMCG, E-commerce, Global Sales, Remittance or Gift Cards market ideally within the FMCG domain

  • Partnership management skills

  • International experience and mindset

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

  • Proactive, getting-it-done mentality, take initiative

  • Curiosity! An open mind and interest for change to drive new ideas, to understand, new cultures, to implement opportunities

  • Business development experience is a plus

  • Experience in crypto, remittance, gift cards, or Asia / American market is a plus
