The role💡

We’re looking for a talented & Ambitious Content strategist to join our Performance team reporting to our Online marketing Director Paul Proisy.

We need your support and talent to shape the future of a rapidly growing, global high-traffic B2C e-commerce platform and execute the online search strategies. Next to Recharge.com, we also run content for customers of our local heroes brands like beltegoed.nl, guthaben.de and recharge.fr.

Job requirements

What will I do?🤔

As our Content Strategist, you will be part of our SEO team, reporting to our SEO Lead. You would take ownership of our Blogs and customer facing content. You will develop true expertise of our products and industry, so that you can design an attractive content program for our prospects and customers across various platforms.

In collaboration with our Brand and Content team you would build our English brand voice, so that you can contribute yourself to lead our program with your own writing.

You would define our Content strategy so that we can make the most SEO impact, build the Content environment we need, manage the process of transcreation of our platform into multiple languages, lead other content writers in native languages, and support our product, UX & marketing teams with localisation.


As our Content Strategist, you will:

  • Take ownership of building our enhanced SEO environment, from new pages capabilities to review the full Blog strategy in collaboration with the Brand & Content team

  • Create a content strategy and plan for each of our product categories

  • Build the measurement plan together with the SEO team

  • Develop the Content strategy according to funnel intent, in collaboration with the Brand & Content team. Map it out with the current and future SEO environment

  • Conceptualise and develop creative conversion driving source copy in English across different touchpoints of our Content environment

  • Create guidelines for content writing for all content contributors

  • Present and articulate your writing rationale to stakeholders

  • Support the UX copywriter with the capacity of core copy creation

  • Support with/deliver the organisation with key content projects

  • Collaborate closely with our Senior Brand Designer, Campaign Manager, CLM team, UX Copywriters, Product Marketeers, SEO team and beyond to create and refine world-class copy in an iterative and flexible process

  • Give and receive feedback to peers through design critiques

  • Progressively develop SEO technical understanding and skills for better discussions with the SEO team

  • Implement relevant tools that help scaling content creation/checking and optimising content quality


What You Have💪🏻

  • Must have 5/6+ years prior experience in a copywriting or branding role, agency or in-house

  • Native written command of the Modern Standard English language

  • Full understanding and strong experience in creating SEO optimised English copy

  • High organizational and prioritization skills

  • Strong project management skills

  • Skilled in creating high-quality UX & marketing content. Along with a clear eye for detail

  • Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction

  • A portfolio of creative writing demonstrating; your attention to detail, writing skills for both Marketing and UX and your editorial eye

  • Experience in tech/scale-up environment
