The Role

Are you looking to be a part of the most influential company in the branded payment industry and contribute to the branded-payment revolution that is changing the world? The Recharge Localization team is in charge of translating, localizing, and testing content from our website and app into 18 locales (…and counting!). The team’s goal is to put our international community first and help them grow by localizing products and services.


You will help ensure that users have the same accurate and enjoyable experience in all international markets. You will automate and scale localization QA processes to make LQA easier and faster for our stakeholders, as well as the implementation of a quality framework. This role will also include the management of language assets such as glossaries, translation memories and style guides as well as the training, evaluation and implementation of machine translation in our workflows. You will report to the Localisation lead at Recharge.



What will I do?

As our Localisation QA Specialist, you will;

  • Manage and improve the quality assurance process

  • Set goals and metrics, and report on quality assurance results continuously

  • Provide timely responses and actions to vendor and colleague requests

  • Communicate quality concerns with stakeholders

  • Assist on localization projects during high demand

  • Work with local managers to refine and adapt local copies

  • Scale LQA across all supported languages and websites/apps

  • Own our Machine Translation strategy

  • Ensure that our language assets are always concise and up-to-date

Job requirements

What do I have?

  • At least 5 years of localization QA experience managing medium to large-scale projects

  • Strong technical domain knowledge (globalization, internationalization, localization)

  • Knowledge of the full localization life cycle, best practices, and industry translation management systems (preferably Memsource)

  • Understanding the main Machine Translation evaluation metrics (like BLEU and TER) and how to build terminology for training.

  • Can write some basic scripts using regex (e.g. for data cleaning)

  • Experience collaborating across the organization and a variety of teams

  • A passion to scale processes and adapt to ongoing project needs


Bonus points:

  • Knowledge of additional European or Asian language is a plus

  • Experience with Jira, Memsource and Phrase

  • Experience in Project Management
