The role

We’re looking for a talented payment specialist to join our Payments and Fraud Team  reporting to our Payments and Fraud Lead Veronica Melendez. We need your support and talent to drive the business growth, find the best solution payment wise for every market and segment we offer for our products, and  explore new payment solutions with a focus on developing new and existing markets.

Job requirements

What will I do?

As a Payment Specialist you are constantly on the lookout for new trends, payment methods and our coverage in new countries. To be successful, you have to work together a lot with our country expansion and other business teams, and Risk & Fraud team for the assessment of risks and opportunities of new and existing payment methods. 

You are a curious, ambitious and self-propelling person who can shape this role along the way.

You will explore the payment landscape for our new and current markets, Cards, E-wallets and other APM’s and provide benchmarking, research and business cases regarding new payment methods, Payment Service Providers (PSP), acquirer banks and anticipate associated risks.

You also share trends and insights in the payment and fraud ecosystem in knowledge sharing sessions with different stakeholders, work together with our country expansion team and Product Owner to define and execute the rollout plan, and maintain commercial relationships with existing Payment Service Providers & Acquirers. You will have the opportunity to monitor the daily payment performance and improve conversions on our markets, lead initiatives to optimize our payment funnel / payment check-out. 

And you are aware of PSD2, PCI DSS and other developments in the payments industry e.g. the New Payments Architecture and what it means for our future payment vision, and understand alternative, non-card based Payment methods, such as digital wallets, direct bank integrations and mobile payment solutions.

Your new team

Your new team will consist of hungry young professionals that are ready to make an impact on the business and is divided into two parts, Fraud (Fraud & Risk Lead, 2 Fraud Specialists and 1 Chargeback Agent) and Payments (2 Payment Specialists) who all report to the Head of Payments .

What you have:

  • Ability to communicate complex (technical) concepts and ensure knowledge transfer to internal business teams and product-owner

  • Knowledge of the ecommerce payment landscape

  • Relevant experience in the domain of ecommerce

  • Understanding of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), PSD2 and other regulations in the payment industry.

  • Project and stakeholder management skills

  • Previous experience in integrating PSPs and payment methods in a merchant, and awareness of EU GDPR is a plus
