We need your drive and knowledge of how to build great software that sits at the core of our business and serves millions of people around the globe!
What will I do?
You will lead the engineering side of a cross functional product development team in the domain of Payments, with focus on Referral features.
Write and review clean, simple, testable and high quality code.
Design new systems with the help of your team, following good architecture practices.
Own and monitor your services in production, helping to resolve any issues.
Understand our customers and ensure that the code that you write meets their needs
Work with your manager on developing your skills. Identify and follow through on areas of growth and training needs for yourself.
Coach your team members on areas of expertise. Contribute to the wider engineering community at Recharge.
What You Have
A pragmatic - customer centric - approach to software design. Design concepts and principles (i.e. DDD, OOD patterns, SOLID) come naturally to you.
You are experienced in leading system design discussions, getting people along and expressing your opinion.
Deep knowledge of back-end frameworks and languages. We primarily use PHP, Ruby and node.js.
Deep knowledge of front-end frameworks and languages. We primarily use Vue.js and Typescript.
Solid experience with RDBMS (MySQL, or PostgreSQL) and API's (REST/GraphQL) in the context of running web applications under high load (+/- 1K rpm).
Experience building and operating services in public cloud (i.e. AWS/GCP/Azure) using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
Solid understanding of CI/CD.
An agile/lean mindset. You’ll have worked in a customer focussed and product oriented team.
Some experience with coaching or mentoring other engineers.
You are comfortable with using monitoring tools such as Datadog, Sentry, Splunk, Grafana etc.
Experience in the field of Payments, Fraud or Risk is beneficial.
